Jolly Good 2 Pupil's Book

The Jolly Good 2 coursebook is made up of 12 units of three lessons each. Each unit is part of a continuing, interactive story running from cover to cover and it revolves around a topic which is familiar to young learners e.g. clothes, my family, etc. Each unit is divided into the following sections:

- Lessons a & b: part of a themed story in cartoons, new vocabulary and new grammar are presented in the first two lessons of each unit. The vocabulary is clearly presented in labelled pictures, while the grammar focus of the lesson is presented in a table. Vocabulary and grammar tasks complete these two lessons. - Lesson c: no new words or grammar points are presented in this lesson. More attention is paid to the revision of the vocabulary and grammar learnt in the previous lessons. It also features dynamic communicative activities such as a song, a speaking activity through the use of flashcards and pronunciation activities. Also, in this lesson, young learners develop their writing skills. - Every two units:

• World Wide Web section: this takes in cross-curricular themes based on material and facts taken from the real world adapted to the learners’ linguistic level
• Project: pupils are presented with a very simple guided writing project and a model writing task which contextualizes language in a simple but meaningful way through a familiar topic.
• Revision: this is accomplished through the use of stickers to revise the vocabulary, and tasks to revise the grammar.
